Waiver Policy

APC Waiver and Discount Policy

IJAICET considers reasonable waiver or discount requests from authors who have genuine financial limitations. Waiver decisions are handled separately from editorial and peer-review decisions.

Purpose

The waiver policy supports authors who may not have institutional funding, research grants, or other financial support for publication charges. The policy also helps the journal maintain transparent and consistent author-fee decisions.

When Authors May Request a Waiver

Authors may request a waiver or discount after a manuscript has been accepted and before payment is completed. Authors may also notify the editorial office earlier if they expect difficulty paying publication charges after acceptance.

No payment is requested during manuscript submission, editorial screening, or peer review.

How Requests Are Reviewed

Waiver requests are reviewed by the editorial office on a case-by-case basis. Authors should briefly explain the reason for the request, including the absence of institutional funding, grant support, or other publication support where applicable.

The journal may request additional clarification when needed, but authors are not required to disclose unnecessary personal information.

Extent of Waiver

IJAICET may approve a partial waiver or discount depending on the circumstances of the author and the journal's current policy. A full waiver may be considered only in exceptional cases and is not guaranteed.

Where a partial waiver is approved, the final payable amount is communicated clearly to the author before payment. The reduced amount is treated as the basic journal maintenance and publication processing charge for that manuscript.

Editorial Independence

Waiver requests do not influence editorial screening, peer review, acceptance, rejection, revision decisions, publication priority, or reviewer recommendations. Manuscripts are evaluated only on academic quality, originality, ethical compliance, scope relevance, and technical merit.

Transparency

All author charges are listed on the APC Information page. Any approved waiver or discount is communicated directly by the editorial office. IJAICET does not charge submission fees or peer-review fees.
