Complaints and Appeals Policy

Complaints and Appeals Policy

IJAICET provides a route for authors, reviewers, readers, and other stakeholders to raise complaints or appeal editorial decisions. Complaints and appeals are handled respectfully, confidentially where appropriate, and without retaliation.

Editorial Decision Appeals

Authors may appeal a rejection or major editorial decision by sending a reasoned request to the editorial office. Appeals should identify the manuscript, explain the grounds for appeal, and provide evidence if the author believes there was a procedural error, factual misunderstanding, or conflict of interest.

Complaints

Complaints may relate to editorial process, peer review conduct, publication ethics, corrections, website information, author fees, or journal communication. Complaints should include enough detail for the editorial office to investigate.

Review Process

The Editor-in-Chief or an appropriate senior editor reviews the complaint or appeal. Where needed, the journal may seek clarification from reviewers, editors, authors, or institutions. The journal aims to provide an initial response within a reasonable time, depending on the complexity of the matter.

Final Decision

Appeals do not guarantee reversal of a decision. The final decision remains with the editorial leadership after review of the evidence and journal policy.
